He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dyll and Caroline Dyll (Smolenski); his wife Susan Dyll (Tomko); his son Rick Allen Dyll; and his siblings, Victor, Stanley, Felix, Cashmere, Edward Dyll, Laura Dyll, Josephine Russell, Martha Whitehead, Florence Loosemore and Caroline Stigliano.
He is survived by: his children, Lynne Spanos (Mark) and Mark Dyll (Penny Smith); and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Daniel Spanos, Mackenzie and Madison Dyll.
