He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Joyce Bayer; his son James R. Smith Jr. of New Castle, PA; his stepchildren, Debra L and David R. Pickens of Sharon, PA; his grandchildren, Brandon Smith, Allison Sanitate, Paulie Sanitate and Michael Ser (Samantha); and his great grandchildren, Jackson Paul Smith, Cayla Ser, Noah Ser, Cameron Ser and Brayden Ser.
