He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Odem, Sr. and Viola Holloway Odem; his siblings, Martha Higgins, John L. Odem, Samuel D. Odem, Theodore Odem, Billy Odem, Tommy Lee Odem and Gloria Cooper; and his son Gregory Odem.
He is survived by: his wife Margarita Tarver Odem; his children, Billie Odem, Leslie Odem, Tameka Odem, Larry Odem (Melissa), Ed Odem, III (Cheranda), Victor Odem, Richard Odem (Sara) and Shakeum Odem; his siblings, Elnora Laney and Fred L. Odem; his granddaughter Margarita Tarver; and his close friends, Galen Schrecengost and Tommy Phillips. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
