He is survived by: his children, Tanya Zachrich of Greenville, Tammy Canaan of Hermitage and Douglas Wheaton, Jr. of Sharon; his stepsister Susan Jonietz of New York; and his brother Ronald Wheaton of Casa Grande, Ariz.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
