It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Ellen Esmond of Sharon, Pennsylvania, born in Farrell, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 16, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emanuel Whorten and Theresa Whorten (Kraynak); her husband Carl R. Esmond, Sr.; her sons, Raymond Allen Esmond and Carl R. Esmond, Jr.; and her brothers, Elmer Whorten and Richard Whorten.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Jean Hamory of Bradenton, FL, April Lynn Kennedy of Ellwood City, PA, Dennis J. Esmond (Dawn Nash) of Masury, OH and Jerald Lee Esmond (Robin Tuosto) of Sharon; and her siblings, Etta Shell of Masury, OH, Edna Derrenbacher (James) of Hubbard, OH, Ilene Yudt (Phillip) of Reynolds, PA and Robert Whorten of Pittsburgh, PA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
