It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles J. Bender Jr. of Sharon, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 25, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bender and Lillian Bender (Winger); his son Charles J. Bender III; his wives, Roberta (McConnell) and Betty Bender (Wansor); and his sister Lt. Patricia Bender.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Marie Giles and Anthony M. Bender of Elysburg, PA; his stepdaughters, Stephanie Williams, Sharon and Melanie E. Allen (Joe) of Bridgeville, PA; and his siblings, Mary Catherine Bender of Cincinnati, OH, Lillian Moyer (Ronald), John "Jack" Bender of Rockaway, NY and Daniel Bender of York, ME. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Delong's Banquet Hall (490 Lucy St, Masury, OH 44438).
