He is survived by: his children, MaryAlice Merchant (Jeffrey) of Sharon, PA and Charles Ference Jr. (Paula) of Hermitage, PA; his grandsons, Michael Porterfield (Dallas Kovach), Ethan, Connor, Trevor and Spencer; and his stepgrandchildren, Shane Merchant (Casie), Steven Merchant (Ashley) and Katelynn Anderson (Brian).
