He was predeceased by: his father David H. Cathey; his grandfather Donald Muffly; and his great-grandparent Ester Carucci. He is survived by: his mother Ann Comninos (Brian); his brother Evan Pendel (Jenna) of Groton, CT; his grandmother Alana Muffly; his uncle Scott Muffly (Sara) of Masury, OH; and his stepsiblings, Ashley George (Justin) and Michael Comninos of Abilene, TX..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family at Brandon Pendel Memorial Fund.
