He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Burkett and Blanche Burkett (Lape); his brothers, Robert and David Burkett; and his pet Riley Jo.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean Duppstadt; his children, Brianna Burkett, Brian Edmonson and Todd Edmonson (Jill); his granddaughters, Paislee, Mylee and Everlee; and his brothers, Ronald (Vera), Melvin Jr. and Terry Burkett (Patti). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
