She was predeceased by: her parent John Cooney. She is survived by: her parent Nellie Cooney (Grazul); her children, William John Krieger (Martha) of Elysburg, Elizabeth Witmer of Pleasant Gap, Sarah Krieger of Mechanicsburg, Rebecca Krieger of Silver Spring, Robert Krieger (Patricia) of Shamokin and Katlyn Krieger of Tharptown; her great grandchildren, Trey Kodack and Amelia Ruth Witmer; and her siblings, Donald Cooney and Constance Poncheri. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ruth's memory to Mother Cabrini Church, 214 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, PA 17872.
