It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fredrick Burkart of Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 29, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Burkart and Mary Burkart (Wright); and his sister Anna May Haines. He is survived by: his wife Mary J. Teisher; his son-in-law Todd Mabus of Shamokin Dam; his grandchildren, Ryan (Erin Vrabel) of Selinsgrove and Casey Vrabel of Selinsgrove; his great grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Mason and Hayden; his brother William "Bill"; his sister-in-law Sue Burkart of Abington; and his sister Mary Jane Mann of Upper Chichester. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
