It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Howard Bower of Shade Gap, Pennsylvania, born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 8, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Bower and Elsie Bower (Weikel); and his brother Marlin. He is survived by: his spouse Julann Zakrzewski; his children, Karen Bower of Shade Gap and Wesley Bower (Judy) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Ariel Wolf (Nathan Froehlich) of Harrisburg, John Bower of Harrisburg and Kyle Bower of Harrisburg; and his siblings, William Bower (Mary Alice) of Troy, PA, Shirley Womer (Robert) of Liverpool, PA and Ronald.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 524 Mifflin St., Huntingdon, PA 16652.
