He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Burik and Esther Burik. He is survived by: his wife Florence Burik (Petricko); his children, Mark Burik (Susie) and Melissa Burik Rempe (Brian); his grandchildren, Olivia, Connor, Sophia Burik, Joey, Isabel and Gabby Rempe; his brothers, Bill Burik (Ellen) and Bud Burik (Sharon); and his close friend Gordon Setter.
