Puryear Jr. of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, born in Rochester, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 29, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard A. Puryear and Nellie Smith Puryear; his former wife Doris Elizabeth Gilmore Puryear; his siblings, Arthur T. Puryear and Janet L. Scott House; and his nephews, Robert J. Scott and Michael T. Berry.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda J. Wyse Puryear; his children, DeVorne Elizabeth James (Robert) of Pittsburgh, PA, Doreen Lynn Gant (Willie), David Wayne Puryear of Cathedral City, CA. and Maurice Richard Wyse; his grandchildren, Joel Christopher Gant, Lillie Kay Wyse and Maurice "Richie" Wyse, Jr.; his sister Gloria; and his siblings-in-law, Alva Berry of Apache Junction, AZ and Garnett Puryear of Youngstown, OH. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
Due to COVID 19 there will be no public viewing or service at his request.
