She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Sleber and Elizabeth Sleber; her son Kristopher King; and her sister Karen Demer. She is survived by: her close friend Rebecca Beyer; her children, Sandra, Stephen, Tay and Kye King; and her brother Richard Sleber (Alicelyn). She is also survived by mother, having adopted 5 children with her partner of 43 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kristopher King Foundation, Inc. or the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (C.O.R.E).
