He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thompson and Jeane Thompson (Read); his wife Victoria "Vicki" Thompson; and his siblings, Ralph Thompson, Scott Thompson and Faye Wamsley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ellen Thompson Nemetz (Dave Nemetz) of Los Angeles, CA and Lisa Thompson (Rob Thompson) of Long Grove, IL; his grandchildren, Liam Thompson, Ryan Thompson and KJ Thompson of Long Grove, IL; and his siblings, Richard P. Thompson (Rose Malekovic-Thompson) of East Liverpool, OH, Nancy Thompson Hohla (George Hohla) of New Castle, PA and Janet Thompson Fix of Zelienople, PA. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
