He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Ellen Netzel (Conboy); his siblings, Mary Lynn Netzel, Carol J. Phelps and Michael G. Netzel, Sr. (Kathy); his nieces and nephews, Nathyn Netzel, Danielle Phelps (Brett), Ashley Phelps, Michael G. Netzel, Jr. and Hayley Netzel; his sister-in-law Laura Kahler (Bob); and his nieces and nephews, Christie, Carrie (Sam) and Alice.
