He was predeceased by: his father Romain Wenner; his wife Karla Joleyn Schreffler; his granddaughter Whitney Wenner; his parents-in-law, Jim and Genevieve Schreffler; and his siblings-in-law, Sandy O'Neil and Victor Schreffler.

He is survived by: his mother Roberta Wenner (Dreibelbis) of Van; his children, Darren Wenner (Jaime) of Cranberry, PA, Dustin Wenner (Merissa) of Cranberry, PA and Kelly Withrow (Joseph) of Lincolnton; his siblings, Douglas Wenner (Jacki), Derwin Wenner (Pam) and Darla Babb (Gary); and his grandchildren, Denali, Dane, Dalton, Danica, Darien, Delayna Wenner and Doran Withrow. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
