With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma S. Barnes of Sellersville, Pennsylvania, born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 1, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Eles S. Barnes, Jr.; her parents, John Mattison and Elizabeth Mattison (Chick); and her siblings, Jack, Charlie, Robert, May and Peggy.
She is survived by: her children, James E. Barnes, Sr. (Patricia) of Harleysville, Kenneth R. Barnes (Lynne Kester) of Green Lane, Eles E. Barnes III (Nadine) of Lansdale and Linda R. Kimpton of Telford; and her grandchildren, James (Cathy), Shaun, Jason, Jessica and Andrea. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Velma's memory to First Baptist Church, 700 N. Broad St., Lansdale, PA 19446.
