He was predeceased by: his wife Arlene L. Swartley; his parents, Alvin Swartley and Eva Swartley (Mininger); and his brother Vernon Swartley. He is survived by: his children, Susan Loop (Barry) of Richmond, VA, Beth Derstine (Murray) of Telford, PA, Lowell Swartley (Sharon) of Harleysville, Emily Woelkers (Dwight) of Pennsburg and Daryl Swartley (Melanie) of Telford. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
