He is survived by: his children, Tom News Jr. and Laura Ryan; his children-in-law, RoseAnne Ippolito-News and Joseph Ryan Jr.; his grandchildren, James "Jamie" News, Michael (Taylor), Ally, Lyndsay Ryan, Madelynne, Kyra, Ethan, Devon, Owen, Amber and Avery News; and his pet Moose.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Burn Foundation at About Us – Burn Foundation.
