He was predeceased by: his father William J Tierney; and his siblings, John and Cindy. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Cummings Tierney; his mother Frances Lupinski Tierney; his children, Amy Walsh (Paul Walsh), Jill Tierney (Brian Snivley), Meghan Dixon (Bryan Dixon) and Ciara Fowler (Brian Fowler); his granddaughters, Sophia Snivley and McKenzie Dixon; his siblings, Barb, Maureen (Tom), Ann and Mark; and his friends, Jim Grego, Jimmy Knott and Chris Hinton. He is also survived by Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; Brother in laws.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home (1240 St Ann St, Scranton, PA 18504). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Ann's Basilica Church (1250 St Ann St, Scranton, PA 18504).
