We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2018, at the age of 77, Violet Swaboski Surowiec Fox (Scranton, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Stanley J.; and her former husband Joseph M. Surowiec. She is survived by: her spouse Gene Fox; her parent Sophie Agnes Swaboski (Zielinski); her children, Rosanne McDonough (Barry) of Alexandria, Beverly Hanis (Frank) of Clarks Summit, Geralyn Denlinger (Doug) of Carlisle and Mitchell Surowiec (Lisa) of Beverly; her sisters, Theresa Murphy of Glenburn and Madeline Swaboski, I of Dalton; and also, Scranton of Dalton, Carol of Dalton and VanFleet of Dalton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Foundation for Cancer Care, 236 Penn Ave., Scranton, PA 18503.
