He was predeceased by: his former wives, Catherine Boyle and Arlene Cardona; his parent Joseph O'Neill; his daughter Cynthia Garan; his grandson Joshua Groves; his son-in-law William Garan; and his siblings, Joseph O'Neill and Alice Warren.
He is survived by: his parent Cassie Malinauskas O'Neill; his children, Anthony J. O'Neill and Janet A. O'Neill; his stepchildren, Chrissy Cardona of Scranton and Robert Cardona of California; his grandchildren, Kelly Zdaniewicz, Nicholas Garan and Jolene Groves; his friend Opie; and also Puppy. He is also survived by several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
