It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel K. Schiavone-Rood (Scranton, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marjorie Kenyon and Maurice Kenyon of Nicholson; her husbands, Leonard Schiavone of Irene Sportswear and Donald Rood; her daughters, Johanna Schiavone and Lisa Huffsmith; and her siblings, Maureen Zukowski, Robert Kenyon and Richard Kenyon.
She is survived by: her son David (Susie) of New Mexico; her son-in-law Richard Huffsmith of Tunkhannock; her daughter Lenora Beichler (Al) of Dalton; and her stepdaughter Gwen Erwood (Jim) of California. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
