He was predeceased by: his wife Joan A. Davis; and his brothers, John Daniels and Jerome Daniels. He is survived by: his family Paul; his children, Paul D. (Susan), Robert (Laura), Richard (Patricia), Ronald (Sheri), James (Colleen), Judy Sosik (Peter), Susan Cobb (Paul) and Mary Kay Aston (late Robert); and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Suzuki (Kunio) and Mary Daniels. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
