She was predeceased by: her husband Robert F. Cole; her parents, Paul Pethick and Anne Mackin Pethick; her siblings, Sally Jacoby (Jake), James Pethick (Patsy), Mary Sullivan, Martha Williams (Daniel), Anne Flannery (James) and Paul Pethick; and her sister-in-law Ruth "Dolly" Pethick.

She is survived by: her sons, Joseph (Barbara Cohen) of Scranton, Robert of Scranton, Thomas of Scranton, William of Scranton, Edwin of Scranton and David (Michelle Pivovarnik) of Scranton; her grandchildren, Jacob (Cristin), Zachary (Danielle), Benjamin (Bianca Mann), Robert (Jacqui) and Jourdan (Sam); her great grandchildren, Hazel, Macy, Norah, Ella, Grace and Chloe Cole; and her siblings, Ruth Lalley (Pete) and John Pethick.
