It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Richard Gordon (Scranton, Pennsylvania), who passed away on April 2, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Gordon and Rena Walsh Gordon; his mother-in-law Alice Warner; his sister Mae Finnerty; and his brothers-in-law, Paul and Harry Finnerty.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine 'Kak Evanski; his sister Nancy Finnerty; his children, Mary Kate (Jerry Werner), Michael Gordon (Stacy) and Beth (Timothy Hopkins); his grandchildren, Lindsay, Scott Parker, Bryan, Amanda Ancherani, Sean, Liam Gordon, Timothy and Katherine Hopkins; and his great grandchildren, Connor Ancherani, Amelia Parker and Noah Hinkley. He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dearest friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to both Hospice of the Sacred Heart on 100 Williams St. in Dunmore, 18509, as well as St. Joseph's Center on 2010 Adams Avenue in Scranton, 18509.
