She was predeceased by: her husband James L. Carpenter, Sr.; her parents, David Lewis and Dorothy Youngs; and her sister Alice Lewis. She is survived by: her children, James Carpenter, Jr. (Brenda) and Krysta Pero (Anthony); her grandchildren, James David, Jessica Lee Carpenter and Anthonella Mary Pero; her sisters, Patricia Lewis Dixon, Virginia and Rose King; her nephew Al King (Sue McAndrew); and her pet Meow Baby.
