It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martina E. Leonard of Scranton, Pennsylvania, born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 21, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roger; her parents, James Carden and Irene Carden (Rooney); her son Roger Leonard; her grandchildren, Jennifer Laytos and Patrick Kennedy; and her sons-in-law, Gerard Coury and Bob Ruane.
She is survived by: her friends, Roger and Martina; her children, Susan Ruane, Patricia Coury, Martina Kennedy (Ronald) and Darie Chekan (Michael); her grandchildren, Suzanne Tighe, Jeffrey Coury (Caryn), Ron Kennedy, Christina Zielinski (Mark), Roger Leonard (Leona), Therese Langan (Sean), Bob Ruane, Nicole Mecca (David) and Michael Chekan; and her great grandchild Lisa Leonard. She is also survived by nieces; and nephews.
