He was predeceased by: his parent Charles Friedman; and his son Michael M. Friedman. He is survived by: his parent Thelma Kruger Friedman; his sons, Craig Friedman (Stacey), Nathan Friedman (Jo Anna) and Mount Juliet; his stepdaughters, Heather Keeler of Tunkhannock, Kevin Kulp of Tunkhannock and Jennifer Rogers of Tunkhannock; his grandchildren, Isabella Friedman, Benjamin Friedman of Scranton, Michelle Friedman, Abigail Friedman of Mount Juliet and Jordan Smith; his former wife Shirley Friedman of Scranton; and his brothers, Milton Friedman (Pat), Robert Friedman (Karen) and Delray Beach.
