He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Kakareka and Alice Kakareka (Moran); and his brother Wayne Kakareka. He is survived by: his sisters, Judith McLane of Scranton, Marilyn Kunka of Pittsburgh and Joanne Fagan of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
