He was predeceased by: his father Joseph M. Dougherty; his sister Mary Dougherty; his nephew Robert Hamilton Barstow II; and his parents-in-law, William and Joan Gallagher.
He is survived by: his wife Colleen M. Gallagher; his mother Margaret M. Laboranti Dougherty of Scranton; his children, Calah Dougherty of Scranton and Shane Donovan of Scranton; his siblings, Bernadette Adcroft (Robert), Patricia LaTorre (Joseph), Christine Jones (Kevin), Kathleen Barstow (Robert), Ann Dougherty, Joseph Dougherty (Kim), Edward Dougherty (Dawn), Peggy Piccotti (Eric), Ellen Dougherty, Therese Walker (Kevin), William Gallagher (Beth Ann), Dennis Gallagher (Marie), Kevin Gallagher (Robyn) and Brian Gallagher (Ericka); his godchildren, Jake Dougherty and Brittney Barstow; and his close friends, Joe Piazza, Frank "Tito" Adamo, Gary Borgia, Sam Borgia, Jerry Trently of Brian Walsh, E. J, Dougher, Mike Addessa, Mark Granahan and Dr. Elmo Baldassari. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
