John Farrell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 9, 2018 we had to say goodbye to John Farrell (Scranton, Pennsylvania). Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of John Farrell to show support.
He was predeceased by: his parent John P.. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Gabello; and his parent Mary Scavazzo Farrell.
John was a football fanatic, enjoying watching all football but, his teams he loved were "Penn State and "The Eagles." He and his wife Gloria tailgated at quite a few Penn State games. He also loved to fish which he did weekly with his friend Andy. He loved celebrating St. Patrick's Day. John loved and missed his wife Gloria so much. He loved his children and was proud of what they accomplished. He would beam with pride when he talked of his son John being a State Trooper. His daughter Trish and he had a special bond. She helped both parents as they got elderly. He loved his grandchildren and was so proud of what they have mastered. He would always attend their sporting events that they were involved in. Joey and Frank shared his love for his favorite football teams. He adored his great-grandchildren, always showing off his pictures of them, and his "buddy" son-in-law Tony, enjoying Sunday football with him and he was by his side throughout his illness. He will be missed by so many. His family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Geisinger C.M.C. I.C.U. and Allied Hospice for his final care. A special thank you to Cate, Lady Di, Lori, and Kelly for their help and care of our Dad.
