We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2023, at the age of 70, John F. Boland Jr. of Scranton, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Sr. Boland and Mary Kelly Boland; and his siblings, Michael J. Boland and Marjorie Boland Gilroy. He is survived by: his children, Tom Boland (Maureen) of Philadelphia and Colleen Boland Harrington (Aaron) of Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Molly, Catherine Boland, Ryan and Alex Harrington; his brother James M. Boland (Ann) of Dunmore; his former wife Ellen Clark Walsh of Waverly; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Boland of Scranton and Michael Gilroy of Binghamton, NY. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Per Jack's wishes, his remains have been donated to the Humanity Gifts Registry with the hope of helping others through advancements in medicine.
