He was predeceased by: his parents, John Doyle and Margaret Thees Doyle; his brothers, Eugene and Paul; and his grandson-in-law Jonathan Kirby.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Zanghi; his caregiver Joanne; his daughters, Jacqueline Doyle (James Fisher), Dr. Deborah Doyle Belknap and Erica (Shawn Dolan) of Greensboro, NC; his grandchildren, Natalie Belknap (Thomas Dubyak), Madeline Belknap Kirby, Celeste Belknap, Sydney Dolan and K. J. Dolan; and his sister-in-law Helen Marie Hulse (Henry) of Scranton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (1403 Jackson St, Scranton, PA 18504). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 30 E.D. Preate Dr., Moosic, PA 18507.
