She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Myers and Mame Gardner Myers; her son David W. Fritz; and her siblings, Lois Gutheinz, William Myers and Howard Myers.

She is survived by: her husband William Fritz; her daughters, Karen Fritz, Debra Miller (David) and Linda Melnik (Larry); her grandsons, Ross Miller, Adam and Jared Melnik; her daughter Katie Miller; and her nieces and nephews, Jill Fritz Buntz, Carole Gutheinz Chorba, Mark Fritz and Robert Gutheinz.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joan's memory to Hickory Street Presbyterian Church, 435 Hickory St., Scranton PA 18505.
