It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan L. Lubash (Scranton, Pennsylvania), born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 21, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clarence Shaw and Helena Judge Shaw; her children, Joseph Lubash (Robyn, Montrose) and Theresa Lubash; her fiancé Michael J. Rusyn III; her grandchildren, Frank, Theodore Lubash, Joshua, Zachary Diehl, Tenley Lubash, Kathleen and Billy Durkin; and her siblings, Robert Shaw of Queens, N. Y., Thomas Shaw (Mary Ann, Carbondale), Helene Gilroy (Jack, Endwell, N. Y.) and Mary Shaw of Carbondale.

Donations may be made in Joan's memory to the Carbondale Public Library.
