He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Hughes and Rita Loftus Hughes; and his brother-in-law Edward Jackson. He is survived by: his sisters, Kathleen Jackson, Mary Murphy (Dennis) and Taylor. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
