He was predeceased by: his parent Gerard H. Ritter; and his brother Jeffrey Ritter. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Ritter (Wiktor); his parent Alice K. Ritter of Elmhurst Twp; his children, Tracy Ritter and Matthew Ritter; his siblings, Susan Norek (Thomas) of Madison Twp and Mark Ritter of Scranton; his brother-in-law John Wiktor (Dianne) of Binghamton; his aunt Rosemarie Kennedy of Virginia Beach, VA; and his friend Dayna. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Rd, South Abington Township, PA 18411 or Saint Francis of Assisi Kitchen, 500 Penn Avenue Scranton, Pa 18509.
