He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur "Wimpy" McPhillips and Elizabeth "Betty" Ancherani McPhillips; his sister-in-law Darlene McPhillips; and his nephew Arthur McPhillips III. He is survived by: his children, Gary T. McPhillips Jr. (Kelly Ann), Debra Fuller (Charles Jr.) of Scranton and Amanda McPhillips (Eric) of Scranton; his stepson Kevin M. McLaine (Kaleena); his grandchildren, Melinda, Christian, Michael, Brooke Lynn, Sierra, Hayley, Judson and Addison; his great grandchildren, Christian, Ariella, Grayson, Austin, Colton, Olivia, Emma, Alexander, Noah and Juliette; and his brothers, Arthur, Robert and Keith (Linda). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
