He was predeceased by: his parent Francis Schindler; and his brother-in-law Ralph Parry Sr.. He is survived by: his parent Lillian Woodbridge Schindler; his children, Rebecca Schindler (Frank Dougherty) and Frank Schindler of Pittston; his stepchildren, Joey McNally (Shelly), Scranton, Tina McNally, Throop McNally, Jerry McNally and Moosic; his grandchildren, Cadence Dougherty and Cambrie Dougherty; his stepgrandchildren, Jazmine, Iviah, Savanna, Miranda, Robbie and Jordan; his sisters, Lillian Petsko (Michael), Clarks Summit and Elizabeth Parry; and also Anna Scheller.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Allied Hospice Center 511 Morgan Hwy, Scranton, PA 18508.
