He was predeceased by: his mother Carolyn Brooks (Hauser); his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Brooks; and his sister Carolyn "Connie" Kidd Reed. He is survived by: his father Charles F. Brooks; his children, Cydney C. Brooks (Andras L.) and D. Cody Brooks (Andrea E. Lourie) of Bexley, OH; his sisters, Susan Vining Brooks of Columbus, OH and Leslie B. Jermyn Durant of Allentown, PA; and his grandsons, Spencer C. Brooks and Zachary H. Brooks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church.
