He was predeceased by: his parent Carl Marinach-Latniak; his daughter Debra Kowkho; and his brother Peter Latniak. He is survived by: his parent Anna Marinach-Latniak; his wife Stella Lowe-Latniak; his children, Anna Dunio (John) of Elmhurst, Charles (Rita) of Duryea, Christopher (Heather) of Williamsport and Lisa Connors (Mike) of Plains; his grandchildren, Ernie Kowkho, Frank Kowkho, Tabitha Fairbanks, Andrew Pregnon, Charles Latniak IV and Kevin Johnson; and his siblings, Tina Lowe, Mary Matona, Jean Drasba and John Latniak.
