He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Burke; his parents, Michael Sr. Balendy and Gertrude Bruno Balendy; his siblings, John, Michael, Bernard, Blanche Wright, Margaret Gingerlowski and Marlene Matthews; and his grandson John.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Sposito and Andrew Balendy Jr.; his stepchildren, Lou Anne Dougher (Kim Minora), Tony Pappas and Robert Franklin; and his siblings, Paul Balendy, Jean Evans, Elizabeth Purna and Charlie Balendy. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
