He was predeceased by: his sisters, Minerva Lashinsky, Aileen Schultz and Lois Dunlap. He is survived by: his spouse Patricia A. (Warheit); his sister Phyllis Groff (Bill); his daughters, Patricia Fitzpatrick (Rick), Elizabeth Dunlap and Amy Trenney (Ron); his grandchildren, Richard J. Fitzpatrick (Tierney), Robert Fitzpatrick (Sheri Gongaware), Emily Edwards (Ray) and Katie Trenney; and his great grandchildren, Will and Joe Gongaware. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
