He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George E. Hixson and Elizabeth Jane Hixson (Burkhart); his wife Gertrude Joan Hixson (Stroud); his children, Terry Hixson of Mt. Pleasant, Christine Lewellen (James) of Connellsville and Janie Hawk (George) of Scottdale; and his siblings, George Hixson (Glendine) of Florida, Nancy Grimm (Frank) of Scottdale, Marlene Garlowich of Scottdale, Janet Maney of Punxsutawney, Karen Sue Cramer (Joseph) of Scottdale, Dorothy Malik and Raymond Hixson. He was also cherished by his nine grandchildren; his 18 great-grandchildren.
