It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine G. Stella of Scottdale, Pennsylvania, born in Dunbar, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 17, 2022, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony DeMichelis and Laura DeMichelis; her husband Frank J. Stella Sr. of Scottdale; her daughter Antoinette "Toni" Stella Platko of Pittsburgh; and her brothers, Albert DeMichelis of Connellsville and Vincent F. "Zubby" DeMichelis of Dunbar.
She is survived by: her son Dr. Frank J. Stella Jr. of Pittsburgh; her son-in-law William P. Platko (Jude A.) of St. Augustine, Fla.; her grandchildren, Lauren F. Platko of Philadelphia, Stacy E. (Neal Martin) of Pittsburgh and Shannon L. Miller of Charlotte, N. C.; and her great grandchildren, Tess and Lila Martin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Scottdale, or the Laurel Highlands School District-Academics in memory of Joey Stella.
