He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel S., Sr. and Sara J. Livingston Helkowski; and his siblings, Patricia A. "Patty" Schmook and Larry Helkowski. He is survived by: his wife Sue Weisgerber Helkowski of Scottdale; his grandchildren, Rylee Hart, Vivianna Koury and Kaden Koury; his brother Daniel S. Helkowski, Jr. of Sewickley; and his brother-in-law Charles Schmook of Scottdale.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. (417 Pittsburgh St, Scottdale, PA 15683). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist R. C. (416 S Broadway St, Scottdale, PA 15683). A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 6:52 PM at the St. John Parish Cemetery (416 S Broadway St, Scottdale, PA 15683).
His pioneering contributions to emergency medicine, his leadership within his community, and during his enduring love for his family will forever inspire those who knew him.
