He is survived by: his wife Sue Weisgerber Helkowski of Scottdale; his grandchildren, Rylee Hart, Vivianna Koury and Kaden Koury; his brother Daniel S. Helkowski, Jr. of Sewickley; and his brother-in-law Charles Schmook of Scottdale.
His pioneering contributions to emergency medicine, his leadership within his community, and during his enduring love for his family will forever inspire those who knew him.
