She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Stanek and Marie Stanek Kowlaczyk (Owczarzi); her husband Nicholas "Lefty" Koval; her stepfather Andrew Kowlaczyk; and her siblings, Charles Stanek, Rose Wisniewski, Joseph Stanek, Mary Streyle, Frank Stanek, John Kowalczyk and Alice Mehallick.
She is survived by: her children, John M. Koval (Patricia) of Greensburg, Carolyn Garretson (David Garretson) of Mount Pleasant, SC and David Koval (Maryann) of Fernandina Beach, FL; and her great grandchild Kristen Garretson Gaskins (Clint).
